What is the Travel Group Ministry?
Why Is DLM Forming A Travel Ministry?
The goal is to first ministry to people through travel. The second goal is to place a focus on key cities identified as having a strong interest in DLM fellowship groups and unite people on travel trips from those key cities. Traveling for even a short period of time with new people is a great way to start to build a friendship with new people. Forming a fellowship group in a city with new friends of like mind and heart is the plan.
These travel groups in the DLM travel ministry will offer multiple benefits such as:
- Initially appealing to people wanting to travel
- Creating a environment in which people would be encouraged and grow in their faith while traveling with the group
- Changing people's normal vacation time into a spiritual growth trip
- Fostering an environment in which people would form new friendships that may be pivotal in helping them grow when returning from the trip (who we hang around we often become more like - connecting spiritually seeking people with others of same mind in their cities can be a very beneficial thing).
- Reaching people who are open to spiritual things of God, but turned off by church and normal ministry settings or crusades.
- Helping local churches in providing an environment in which those who travel from a city already in a church would be able to invite new friends made on the trips

My desire in life is something God has been putting in my heart for a little bit. He's flipped my life around and has put world ministry in my heart. My desire is to travel and spread the love and glory of God to everyone I possibly can. It seemed like this is a good group to join for that purpose!

I've always wanted to live in and travel all over Asia, and other parts of the world. So far, that hasn't happened, but I can't wait to see what the Lord has in store as I continue to be faithful with the responsibilities I have right now.

I have been to Scotland before and it is so dead spiritually! It really needs a revival, and I think talented, educated young people especially can make a huge impact in the creative arts there. Anyone act, sing, paint, and want to do that as a witness for Christ?

I would like to go to Scotland. My boyfriend is going to Glascow University there, and he doesn't believe in God. I would really like to show him the power of God when Christians work together.

I know a family that travels to Haiti about 4 times a year. They visit several pastors there and take stats on children attending the schools for the purpose of finding sponsors. You can read about them at http://www.hishandsforhaiti.org/default.asp
